Flex Labs

Flex Labs housed at each WITC campus provide an alternative to the traditional classroom offering a variety of courses that enable the self-motivated, self-disciplined individual to acquire knowledge and skills leading to job advancement, college credit and personal enrichment.

The Flex Lab student, with work and personal commitments, can complete a variety of credit or audit courses on a flexible schedule.

Credits earned from courses offered in the Flex Lab may apply to Associate Degree and Diploma courses available at WITC.

Auditing courses in the Flex Lab

You may audit any course in the Flex Lab. You are not required to hand in assignments or take tests in audited courses; full course fees will be charged but no grade or credit given.

How does the Flex Lab work?

You receive a syllabus, text and reference listing, assignment sheet, and other instructional materials. You should allow approximately 36 hours per credit to finish course requirements.

The Flex Lab gives the opportunity to learn at an individual pace. Familiar material can be reviewed quickly, allowing you to focus on new topics. You don't have to sit through lectures on materials already known or be left behind on more advanced topics. An instructor is available to help you on an individual basis when problems or questions arise.

Cost of classes in Flex Lab

Classes in the Flex Lab cost the same as any regular credit class with a per-credit tuition charge plus the cost of books. You may be eligible for financial assistance. You can obtain information concerning financial aid programs by contacting the Student Services at a WITC Campus Location.

Attendance in the Flex Lab

You may attend the Flex Lab during any time it is open and are responsible for completing work for the total class. Incompletes will not be given except for extenuating circumstances.
